Electronic phase separation: Recent progress in the old problem

چکیده
We consider the nanoscale electronic phase separation in a wide class of different materials, mostly strongly correlated electron systems. The turns out to be quite ubiquitous manifesting itself situations, where itineracy charge carriers competes with their tendency toward localization. latter is often related some specific type magnetic ordering, e.g. antiferromagnetic manganites and low-spin states cobaltites. interplay between localization-induced lowering potential energy metallicity (which provides gain kinetic energy) favors an inhomogeneous ground state such as ferromagnetic droplets insulating background. present review article deals advances subject formation types (FM) metallic (FM polarons or ferrons) antiferromagnetically ordered (AFM), charge-ordered (CO), orbitally-ordered (OO) matrices, well colossal magnetoresistance (CMR) effect tunneling transport nonmetallic phase-separated complex oxides. It also touches upon compounds spin-state transitions, multiband systems, polaron effect. A special, attention paid systems imperfect Fermi surface nesting chromium alloys, iron-based pnictides, AA stacked graphene bilayers.

Recent Progress in Electronic Skin
The skin is the largest organ of the human body and can sense pressure, temperature, and other complex environmental stimuli or conditions. The mimicry of human skin's sensory ability via electronics is a topic of innovative research that could find broad applications in robotics, artificial intelligence, and human-machine interfaces, all of which promote the development of electronic skin (e-s...
متن کاملRecent Progress in Allergen Immunotherapy
The efficacy of allergen immunotherapy for the treatment of allergic rhinoconjunctivitis with or without seasonal bronchial asthma and anaphylaxis caused by the sting of the hymenoptera class of insects has been clearly demonstrated in numerous well-designed, placebo-controlled trials. Immunotherapy whether by subcutaneous injection of allergen extract or by oral/sublingual routes modifies peri...
متن کاملRecent Progress in the Goldbach Problem
The two conjectures are, of course, equivalent. If 2n — 2 = pi+p2, then 2n = pi+p2+2 and 2n + l = pi+p2+3Conversely, if 2n=pi -\-p2-\-pz one of the primes must be 2 and 2n — 2 = pi+p2. An impressive collection of numerical evidence indicating the truth of the conjectures has accumulated in the years since Goldbach's letter was written, but is it not known to this day whether the conjectures are...
متن کاملRecent Progress on the Boundary Rigidity Problem
The boundary rigidity problem consists in determining a compact, Riemannian manifold with boundary, up to isometry, by knowing the boundary distance function between boundary points. In this paper we announce the result of [25] that one can solve this problem for generic simple metrics. Moreover we probe stability estimates for this problem.
متن کاملRecent Progress on the Isomorphism Problem
A long-standing problem, posed first by Graham Higman in 1940 [Hi] and later by Brauer [Br], is the “isomorphism problem for integral group rings.” Given finite groups G and H, is it true that ZG N ZH implies G N H? Many authors have worked on this question but progress has been difficult [Sal. Perhaps the best positive result was that of Whitcomb in 1968 [Wh], who showed that the implication G...
